First, I have to admit that this 0 percent financing stuff is really driving me crazy. So much so that I'm ready to trade up from a wonderful BX2200 to a 24 horse or bigger with FEL. Love Kubota, but I went shopping with a pal for a B7800 and we also took a ride on a New Holland TC30. Wow. Much more beef in the NH. It didn't vibrate like the B7800 nor jump every time I went over a bump. The salesman said the added 500 pounds helped, of course, and that it had more heavyweight parts. That made me rethink my simple upgrade to a B2410 or B2710. All things being equal, what's the real difference between a B2410, TC 24D and Deere 4115? The real question: Which is the most tractor, FEL and finish mower package. It's going to handle up to six acres mowing, snow, mulch, dirt, and a large garden.

If the horses are all the same then all will run identical implements.
The 2410 is the lightest weight of the bunch, the 4115 has an exceptional loader and I have never driven a Boomer.
Does this model TC suffer from the same Wimpy Loader Syndrome as its stablemates?
It will probably come down to which one feels the best or is easiest to use for the jobs you do most.
I do like the left side brakes on the 4115. ....

Going to a 72" mower? Then your choices are still small. The BX can handle what you are doing now, what's to gain? ....

If you are considering going to a 30HP tractor, I highly recommend the TC-30. I also have the 7308 loader(with the 60"HD bucket w/cutting edge). With this loader I have moved full buckets of gravel,lifted and moved all of my implements, excavated a 10'x100' boat ramp (lots of digging and moving material).I have also used all of my implements behind this tractor with excellent results. I don't believe that you can buy a 30HP tractor that will outperform this one. I have just under 50 hours on mine and it has been absolutely a joy to operate with no problems whatsoever(the machine has been flawless). With the TC-30 there are no difficult maintenance issues. What you see is what you get - a good,basic, all-around tractor that is simple to operate and maintain.You will not be disappointed if you purchase a TC-30. ....

Of course you are right Art, but buying nothing when the money is free is no fun. This may be my only chance to step up. And on the TC-30, there's no question that it appears worth the price. My pal who was comparing the TC-30 and B7800 in the Virginia-Maryland area got a quote for the 30-hp Ford/New Holland of $16,500 with 72-inch finish mower and front end loader. That's $400 LESS than the local quote for a 24-hp Deere 4115 with loader and 60-inch mower. But that's like comparing Ford and Mercedes, isn't it? ....

Alright so now we are up to a bigger tractor. Thats a good move! NH vs JD I consider them about equal on the tractor front. There are some little things that depending on use might have a personal favorite swing to one side but for the most part they are about equal except the price. ....

The 2410 wheelbase is 6 inches shorter and the tractor is 300 pounds lighter.
The gross HP ratings are the same but the 2410 is rated at 18 PTO HP and the 4115 is rated at 20 PTO HP.
The 4115 has a slightly larger engine, 73.22 cubic inches versus 68.5 for the kubota.
The 2710 matches the 4115 wheelbase, PTO output and weight very closely. ....

Mark, you're exactly right. If anybody's going to move up from a BX, then spend the extra $800-$1,000, go for the gusto and take the B2710. Which, of course, could lead to somebody suggesting spending a few hundred more and get the 30-hp NH TC-30. See what I mean about choice? It never ends in tractorworld. Thanx. I like your idea best. ....
